Schema: Identify past or current experiences that directly impact short or long-term thoughts, emotions and behavioral responses.
Client and clinician work together to identify the event/incident & underlying cause of current stressors.
2. Measurement Tools: Complete new and review previous assessment rating scales before each session to measure progress or regressions.
Assessment rating scales can measure levels of anxiety, depression, hopelessness, suicidal ideations, mood or more.
3. Client Report: Review assigned homework, discuss current stressors or improvements and implement intervention practices during sessions.
Homework and interventions range from therapeutic experiments, journaling, record keeping, mood apps, CBT & DBT techniques and more evidenced-based practices.
4. Summary & Closing: Assign new homework, tasks, or short-term goals between sessions. Summarize the current session and solicit feedback between clinician and client.
Apply learned interventions in real-life situations. Shared feedback on the therapeutic relationship and session.
